Microstructure & Cleanliness: Alpha/beta phase balance and freedom from deleterious contamination verified; surface contamination must be removed.
Ultrasonic / NDE: UT and other NDE when ordered to detect internal discontinuities—especially for critical aerospace and pressure components.
Grain Flow: Forging reductions and directions controlled for strength along principal stress axes.
Dimensional Control: Forging tolerances per drawing/PO; machining allowances coordinated to minimize waste.
